About The Practice

Dr. Ingram is double board certified in Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he received a degree in Mathematics andPhilosophy, summa cum laude, while completing a premedical curriculum. At Yale, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, was a National Merit Scholar, and was a William Randolph Hearst Foundation Scholar. Dr. Ingram began his medical career at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was a Southwestern Medical Foundation Scholar throughout medical school. On graduation from medical school, he was one of three students in the country who “matched” straight into Plastic Surgery directly out of medical school that yea. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at UT Southwestern, currently the number one ranked program in the United States, in 1995.

Dr. Ingram continued his studies at the clinic of Ivo Pitanguy, the father of modern cosmetic surgery and inventor of the Brazilian Butt Lift, in Rio de Janeiro prior to studying craniofacial surgery at the University of Paris, Creteil, France, where he worked under Laurent Lantieri, the first surgeon to perform a complete facial transplant. He first moved to Nashville to complete a fellowship in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction under Patrick Maxwell at Baptist Hospital, completed a fellowship in facial plastic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, and first attained board certification in plastic surgery in 1999.

Dr. Ingram’s love for cosmetic surgery was shaped by his broad experience early in his career. He developed an appreciation for the importance not only of restoring normal form and function through reconstructive procedures, but also of enhancing every person’s innate beauty through cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Ingram is currently a Trustee of both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He gives the Oral Board Exams every year and trains a fellow in cosmetic surgery one day a week. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the Chairman of the ABCS’s Cosmetic Surgery Safety Committee, the Chairman of the ABCS’s BBL Safety Committee, and the Patient Safety Editor for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Ingram limits his surgical practice, focusing only on cosmetic and plastic surgery of the face and body – facial plastic surgery, surgery of the breast (breast implants, lifts, and reductions), and body contouring (liposuction, abdominoplasty, and Brazilian Butt Lift). Having trained with some of the world’s best surgeons, Dr. Ingram’s philosophy is to perform only those procedures which he knows he can perform as well as anyone in the world, as well as those which have the highest patient satisfaction and the lowest complication rates. As such, Dr. Ingram does not perform every cosmetic procedure and does not perform injections or provide skin care. We specialize only on the procedures in which we are truly experts.

Staff

My staff is truly amazing. We just got a google review today (it’s February 16, 2024 as we write this section) that said this about me and Amy Tally, my office manager … “I have so many great things to say about Dr. Ingram and his staff. And I can’t forget Amy. She is the sweetest and is a superwoman. She does everything and does it with a beautiful smile and such genuine sweetness … I honestly have never met a surgeon as kind and genuine as Dr Ingram. He truly cares about his patients. He calls and checks on you after surgery. He’s there day and night if you have problems or just questions afterwards … when my surgery was over and I was setting up and they were getting me dressed. I remember Dr Ingram straightening my hair in the back where I’d been laying on it. Then he and Amy wheeled me to my car. Put me the car themselves not their staff. I have never in my life heard of a surgeon do that. He honestly has the best personality of anyone I’ve ever met. He and Amy honestly feels like family.” I am so blessed to have Amy as the face of my practice – she gives so much to everyone who trusts us with their health and bodies.

We have a small staff of five (including me), so we can give our all to every one of our patients. I can’t even remember how many compliments I’ve gotten in the last month or so about Amy and the other fantastic members of my small, caring team of professionals (Kassie, our CRNA, Alvisha, our OR nurse, and Whitney, our surgical technologist). Since we are such a small team, we all get to participate in every patient’s care and get to know them from the first consultation through their last follow up appointment.
